He keeps popping up on my twitter feed with stuff about QPR and he's been pretty much spot on for most of it
Agree Bob. Could still do with a creative in the middle now Eze has gone; won’t be to his quality, but we need that link up play to move the ball up/out efficiently.MW seems fully aware of the number of games packed in short windows; so squad strength/depth will be needed.
I would imagine that will be the last of our spending now with £4.5m spent - which I’m pleasantly pleased about to be honest. Freebies and loanees now the focus you would think.
Cant see us spending much more/if anything either. The freebies list is extensive at the moment but the problem of wages is usually the problem. Most wanting a final pay day or others willing to offer slightly more. 2 or 3 loans hopefully
That made me laugh today as Reading fans were posting next seasons team and they had his name down saying what a great signing it will be. Then after it emerged he was coming to us they started saying The players they had were better. Deluded fools think they are going up and will pi22 the league.
I disagree because there is a rumour we are in the market for two top keepers namely Neuer & Pickford! (ala 'Hughes')
Be interesting to see how long they can escape the spectre of FFP, their accounts must resemble a banana republic...
Sooper when I was looking at the Dickie news yesterday It led me to their Twitter. I had a read at some of the posts... They are still as deluded as ever. They have broken FFP rules (by a mile). Bowen was the manager then he wasn't, then he quit. The fella 'Howe' who was the 'behind the scenes' stability of the club was sacked... It's like us sacking Hoos? They bring in some unknown MLS/Chinese football league manager who appears by some to be crap? I think they are about to lose Swift and their lead goal scorer and the fans think they will 'Pi22 the league' And the person pulling the strings is that Kia bloke again. I'm starting to agree with Beth on this in that we are running our club properly
It will be interesting Ellers how we look back over these last few years of struggle and where we stand as a club against all the other clubs who cried out for us to be fined (and have since thrown money up in the air themselves). No doubt that we messed up and have paid the price many times over; but maybe, just maybe, we have ridden through our austere years and are perhaps on a much better financial footing than many clubs. I still believe we have a way to go too (sadly) but only because football is so up itself, rather than remaining what it was always meant to be ... a fans entertainment/sport.
Totally agree SW and as you say there are many clubs on the brink in the league and hopefully we won't be one of them.
NI international, absolutely rapid. Fell out with Gerrard at Rangers. He’s a BOS replacement more than anything but any option that allows Chair to play in the middle and drop Amos has to be a good thing.
