I think that's right. I'm not sure he's the calm, unifying influence to get us out of the virus crisis. But I think he'll see Brexit through and I hope he holds a hard line on attempted EU interference in how this country runs itself. I realise this may mean no deal, which will go down badly north of the border. I think the Scots should then be afforded another referendum. If they vote to leave, a lot of English sentiment is (and without any disrespect to the Scots) - fair enough, interests have diverged after 300 odd years, they must have independence and plough their own furrow.

Agree Boris needs to stay strong and not give in. It would be the end of him and the Tories if he did. I notice the EU is trying the tried and tested threats. I cant see how as the Eurozone is having a mare and their recovery has stalled.

We knew this would go down to the wire. No one is trying to compromise yet. October will be the acid test, I think

Yes, their bullying tactics will be their downfall. It tells me that they are worried. They must be as Barnier had to call all the leaders last week telling them to play 'hardball'. Serves them right for their stupid demands.

It's easy for Barnier. He doesn't take flack from voters if the talks fail. We're entering a game of chicken

Funny how their 'no punish' 'treat as a friend' talk has gone out of the window? Barnier has a mandate to get a deal so if he doesn't he will be letter all the EU countries down. Funnily, I have started to see the ugly side of the EU. Shame we have a few Euro freaks who can't see this.

If there is no deal, then there will be EU countries like Ireland which will be seeking compensation from the EU. And I can't see the French fishermen giving up their profitable practices in UK waters, so that could be the ugly bit. I think there will be a deal that both sides rather dislike

Agree many EU countries will be in deep doo doo if there is a no-deal. I read an article re Sweden saying how Euro/EU nearly ruined them.

It’ll be fine. They need us more than we need them. Easiest deal in history. German cars.

They do need us more than we need then. They sell a lot more to us than we do to them. I thought even you would know that. :1980_boogie_down:

An article discussing Jezza’s brother Piers:
    Piers Corbyn
God only knows knows why Jeremy Corbyn’s less successful brother Piers Corbyn was on the bill. The seasoned climate change denier and conspiracy theorist who keeps some pretty creepy conspiracy theorist company.

The 73-year-old is infamous for appearing at events alongside other conspiracy theorists, including Holocaust denier Nicholas Kollerstrom. Piers Corbyn is also a member of Clexit – a pressure group celebrating Brexit, and calling for the next step of Britain abandoning any agreements to reduce carbon pollution and tackle global warming – which they claim is a hoax.

The conspiracy theorist who has also promoted theories about false flags, earthquakes being caused by the Sun, 5G and anti-vaccination propaganda was among 19 arrested at the rally. It is the third time in three months he has been arrested at such events.
