I suppose players who rely more physical attributes will be the ones who suffer the most in 30's as you do lose that yard of pace. But the players who thrive in their 'old' age are the ones who are intelligent enough to adapt.
I used to be a pacey wide player in my younger days but always used my mind to get ahead too, lots have said to me I'm a much better player now than when I was younger and much faster (Expecting some predictable "wide" jokes here)
Fat lads are often better with their feet and generally pass the ball better. Quick players get used to running like **** ,come to rely on it.
I was not fat. Not skinny. Not fast. Not slow. Bang average speed and had a shocking first touch tbh. But I was good in the air, liked a bit of a tussle, could organise the shape of a team and had decent vision and could pass....Boy I could pass... Sunday pub league mind so it’s all relative
Liverpool have reportedly made an offer to Fluminense for teenage goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga, who works under Alisson’s brother, Muriel, in Brazil. The youngster has a European passport – German, to be exact – so a transition to the Premier League should be relatively straightforward.
Apparently Utd in for Thiago - that seems much more plausible to me in terms of a signing Would be great for them if they get someone of that quality
