Yeah but if he doesnt tow the line i have a feeling whoever was having would just say thank you and goodbye Not necessarily that he would change
With respect Strolls, if you think this government is far-right....I’d hate to see what you would think of some of the errrrrr.......gentlemen I used to know in my bad old days
Ellers...carrying on from Watford’s previous post about polling. Do you not feel that this government has, in the eyes of many, acted appallingly during this time of crisis and that this must have some bearing on their obvious plummet in popularity?
Yeah I know, it's all relative. The same people on here were calling Corbyn and McDonnell far left, though.
Yeah true....though I would say Corbyn and McDonnell are further to the left than Johnson and his gang are further to the right. And that’s why they appealed to me before they got ****ed over by their own party.
Staines I think mistakes have been made and I agree certain people have acted badly (Cummings eye test rings a bell). But I don’t think they are as bad as the media are trying to make out. As for popularity... I still believe that Boris would beat Starmer. Labour have got themselves another dud I’m afraid.
And for all of you who think I am unfair and just stick up for the Tories....well I do but I heard that Corbyn has been snubbed for a peerage (Lords). I think that is wrong and he should get one for his service. I don’t agree with most of his politics however He deserves it more than some of the wasters they have in there.
I’m no lover of Starmer, however it surely cannot be denied that he has closed the gap in the popularity polls very quickly from the days where the media portrayed Corbyn as the devil to where we are now. I think the British publics love of cuddly’ Boris is quickly diminishing, and along with Labours shift to the centre Left....it makes things very interesting and not as clear cut as even a few months ago.
The House of Lords is beyond a joke, it should be replaced by a much smaller body with more emphasis on a broad spectrum of experience than a retirement home for failed politicians and those who were born lucky...
We can have this debate until the cows come home. The gap has been narrowed because Starmer hasn't spoken and the media are attacking the Tories at every opportunity. The country has gone through a bad experience and people will be P’d. However sooner or later Starmer will need to speak and that’s when people will turn off. Just roll out Ed Millibland and people will remember. BTW although I have seen these latest polls I did here that Boris is still more popular. Early days yet. It will be different in 2 years.
of course, he will be. After most disasters things start to pick up. Once 28 DAYS LATER is behind us we will start growing again. After we leave the Mafia state and get our chlorinated Chickens, people will forget about Covid/Cummings/Furlough and Schools and will be more interested in other things.
He needs to deliver a sufficiently catastrophic Brexit for his masters first before slinking away citing health concerns as the good folk of North Brexitshire declare him a hero and any ensuing economic decline and job losses are the fault of Corbyn, Meghan Markle and the EU.
