Police Officer at gunpoint escorted Jacob Blake back to his car and as he got in fired 7 shots into his back, he is fighting for his life in hospital and paralyzed from the waist down, the video footage is shocking, and all he did was tried to stop two girls fighting in the street............<ok>

Sorry Phil but that's not what happened nor the official view although his lawyer did say " "breaking up a fight between two women," said Benjamin Crump, an attorney hired by the family and another lawyer representing him stated publicly "Blake did not have a weapon in his car, said Patrick Salvi Jr but subsequently Blake has since told investigators that he had a knife in his possession, and Mr Kaul said officers "recovered a knife from the driver's side floorboard" of his car. there is also film footage of him carrying a knife before entering his car The police found no other weapon in the vehicle.
He also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest at the time of the shooting, stemming form charges issued for third-degree assault, trespassing and disorderly conduct in connection to an alleged domestic abuse incident on July 6.

The official version is officers were called to an address after a woman reported "her boyfriend was present and was not supposed to be on the premises".

While there, they tried to arrest Mr Blake, initially using a taser against him. he managed to get away after struggling with them then after Mr Blake opened his car door, Mr Sheskey - who has been in the Kenosha Police Department for seven years - fired seven shots into Mr Blake's back. Now what would you do in those circumstances , standing behind someone who's resisted arrest, withstood being tasered, ignoring the police instructions to stop, then leans into the footwell of his car without the police officer having a visual clue as to what he was picking up , would you wait to see what he was holding at that short range ? me personally if i was born in the US then I'd be fairly switched on in that you don't mess around with armed police , certainly if its "true" that the police are executing coloured people willy nilly (thats not factual by the way)

I would have fired one shot maybe two, and I would have hit his shoulder and arms or legs, he was close enough to have done that as a trained officer in the use of a firearm, after all the video shows the office at 3 feet away from the open car door, 7 bloody shots are indefensible regardless of the background and circumstances, it is way disproportionate in my view..........<ok>
