Don't know, are they waiting to see how much we laugh at them compared to when Man Utd spent £90m on Pogba or when Man Utd spent £80m on Maguire or when Man Utd thought they could sign Sancho?
Perhaps Liverpool were of the opinion that he does not worth near £80 million Chelsea are willing to pay. Chelsea have so many players costing fortunes, how to make them happy is another challenge.
please log in to view this image His next pass would have a significant impact on the result of the clash, as the Spaniard assumed possession inside his own half with all 11 PSG players positioned behind the ball. He took two touches before spotting Joshua Kimmich who had roamed into a vacant space on the edge of the final third. Without hesitation, Thiago executed the diagonal pass flawlessly, removing six opponents in the process and permitting Kimmich to drive towards the last line of Thomas Tuchel's defence. Thiago Alcantara's penetrative pass had a dramatic impact on the result of the Champions League final
Unfortunately Liverpool don't play that way, they like to get it wide to spread the play. Midfield is just there to win the ball back.
I've seen that pass. And he plays a lot like Windy, imo, but with a passing range more like Hendo or Fab. Moot point though - I can't see us buying him unless we're letting Windy go. Sell to buy - that's us this season.
ah this is where having Ole, Mourinho, Giggs, LVG, Moyes as your managers for last however many years has distorted your view. Only have their way no matter what, where as decent managers that build successful teams adapt their style as they go, having different ways to win even after dominating the league so that they don’t become stale and predictable. Just when teams think they’ve worked them out they have a plan b or plan c. So far we’ve not needed a plan b for most of league season but that’s why klopp is ahead of others managers in the league. Doesn’t rest on his laurels
To be fair, we rely heavily on our full backs to create. If not them, then our next best chance of scoring is from one of the front producing a moment of individual brilliance to unlock teams. But as others have mentioned, this Plan A (and B) works incredibly well so we've not needed to resort to anything different.
such a simple ploy. You’d think that Utd could buy some more fast lads and implement this. I guess they’re pinning everything on their box diving strategy?
And Chillwell for £50m and rumoured £190k a week. And then Thiago Silva will be joining as well. Good to see they have gone back to the 'Buying Success' model which has worked well for them in the past.
