TBH, if he said that, and if they think it, there is no real determined ambition to use any advantage our size of club might have. This cap is so obviously illegal that any serious club would challenge it. It is absurd, backward and soviet in it's thinking.
Hopefully Fraser or Garbutt. With Xhemajli allegedly training at the AofL, I think they will take their time with it and see how he gets on in training.
I think Smodics is the back up to Fraser, unless he would be there to challenge more in Gooch’s position?

apparently at least some clubs are looking at the legal side of this...the FA/EFL and the rest can simply put something in place, force clubs to abide by it until a challenge is made...unfortunately, as a member of the EFL the clubs have to follow the guidelines until such time as they get a change. legal proceedings, as most will already know, are slow enough to begin with without the added 'strain and difficulty' of working around the pandemic rules...i think most if not all clubs will do as they are told at the minute rather than take a points loss and or fines.
