Hopefully Les, MW and the team are now working on a deal for a central defender or two.

Plus, there is the open topic of the potential transfers of Eze, BOS and Manning, although the probabilty is increasing that the latter two may stay with us for next season.

Currently, it is virtually impossible to accurately predict the potential starting line up for our opening match in a couple of weeks.

Dykes confirmed and given no 9 shirt...think that means Hugill is not coming..
.....................and Eze is not going to Spurs or Wham (or Amos or Hugill would have been makeweights), well that is my guess (I suppose they still can)
When WLS reported on Dykes they seem to suggest Hugill was also still a target, the Norwich thing might scupper that though. Odd its been so quiet on the Eze front.

Very happy we have Dykes with us.
Hope he fairs better than other Aussies that have pulled on the mighty blue & white.

The window runs into October, let's hope Eze isn't a deadline day deal...
Agreed. We need to get key positions filled regardless of Eze situation. We have salary space with Hall, Pugh and Rangel having left as well as loanees.
Just need to move on and get as settled a squad as possible for the league kick off - especially that defensive back line.

With a bit of luck he will start the season with us, pick up a small injury (I don't wish injury on any player) which side-lines him for a month and he plays out the rest in our promotion winning season. No reason to leave, I hope. :emoticon-0138-think
That hope ... it’ll get ya every time :emoticon-0105-wink:

Sounds great, but we'd need to agree an improved contract with him quick, so he doesn't go January (is there going to be a January window when the current one doesn't finish til October?), and strengthen the defence, defensive midfield, and with at least 1 striker, if we are going to get near that promotion.

So a question out there ... who (realistically of course and within the realms of possibility) would you like to see us sign?
Steels ... any bargains in Scotland to be had? Col ... any Norwich players you fancy? Butthuber ... any conspiracies out there to stop us signing the right player? Beth any scientific theories that would help get the right guys? Stainsey ... any cake recipes?

The florists at home first game. Let’s all wear our red kits and confuse the **** out of each other.
Nice to be home first game though. But gutted if there are no fans to build the atmosphere.

I thought it was worth posting as I have seen it twice now.
Might be true, as he seems the sort of player we would pick up on...right age and pedigree...and of course Middlesborough want him

Apparently I read we were never in for Goode, he has dodgy knees
