Deano is a great shot stopper, but he has his limitations - the main one is that he does not come off his line - this sometimes puts the back 4 under big pressure
Perhaps letting Henderson go was a mistake??

I hear Millen was going to take James to the recording of Dickinson's Real Deal at Ashton Gate.
However he was advised that although he was once valuable and collectable, the market had dropped,
he was damaged around the edges, fragile and now of little value!

PERHAPS ???? - Everything Millen has done is wrong.

James looks like he's had it.
    Gerkin's a shot stopper - NOTHING else.

I've always rated Henderson higher than Gerken. Think both Gerken and James have made some right howlers but Henderson always played well. think one of Henderson strength was communication as u could always hear him shouting at the defence making sure they were in the correct position.

With our current options id rather see Lewis Carey given a chance in goal (and not out on loan). I know some will say he is in experience but u only get experience by playing. He isn't much younger than man utd first choice.
Scott loach of watford would still be my choice if could buy someone

I dont get this love in with Gerken. As I remember it his distribution was woeful and he couldn't kick off the ground at all. average at best (great shot stopper though!)

As for James, Yes, looks like the sands of time have caught up.

Henderson should have been kept from what little i saw of him. looked a good prospect.

Gerkin's main weakness is his inability to come for the long straight through ball.
Nothing - Nothing unsettles a back 4 more than this.

No amount of coaching will put this 'natural' skill between Gerkin's ears.

Let's face it, between them Gerkin and James we have the makings of a decent keeper, but on their own no way.

Another position we need to look at filling permanently and hopefully the managers office will soon be vacant too
