Watch out for hanging judges. Always your first question for anyone representing you.
Sounds like one for Gosschalks.....not cheap. Think very carefully before going down this route. Any estate will be swallowed by legal fees in weeks. Is meditation an option??

Are you a member of a Union - if so they may be able to give you general legal advice [some do] at least about options / chance of 'winning'
Did the person who wrote the will hava 'capacity' when the wrote it? Any evidence it was wrote under duress etc?
Finally as has been noted things may get losts in costs
Has the estate [if the person has died] gone to probate yet?
A will writer may even be worth consulting / solicitor

Gosschalks normally require an upfront deposit of £500 and don't offer a free 30 minute consultation like a lot of firms. This shouldn't influence any decisions though, but a free consultation may give an idea of expected costs and whether there is a case.

We recently contacted Gosschalks regarding a disputed will and were told a named person would contact us within a few days. Two weeks later we rang again as we hadn’t heard anything and again were told someone would get back to us. After another week of waiting we contacted Lynsey Harrison of Clarion solicitors in Leeds, she specialises in disputed wills, and she returned our call three hours later. First impressions are encouraging, we intend to engage their services next week.
Although its a bit of a faffing about to get an appointment Citizen's Advice might be your best shot tbh .. they offer free advice and also have access to legal services
Google is a better option than CAB in fact you can get better advice reading a MacDonalds menu.
Go out of town. Most firms have a meet the team section on their web sites. Read the bios and call or email the lawyer direct.
That has been my experience with two different solicitors. They are all working from home, which shouldn't have an impact but seems to. I've found out after they finally contact you three weeks later that it'll cost us an arm and a leg to even get to a stage where we find out if we have a case. Really need no win, no fee..Hudgell's haven't even responded.

A colleagues daughter trained at one of the big solicitors in Hull, strange FACT, they charge people by every 12 & 1/2 minutes...
I remembered this when dealing with my parents solicitor for the probate and tried to keep my conversation down to a minimum, though had a chatty solicitor

I’m worried that Muffin & Askew are on opposite sides of the same dispute & each could damage their own case.

Maybe with the season we're likely to have coming up you should charge 3 points an hour
Unless Askew is a greedy, robbing lowlife who literally steals from the dead, and lives in Bristol, then we have very different problems.
My family have used Burstalls for years.Not fancy but always good advice.
