Literally all that's required now is for pif to announce they're back in and then the prem will get pressed to make a decision by fans and parliament.

They can't fail it or they would have done.

It going to be passed

That’s the thing matey. PIF have to come to the table. And as yet they have not: this worries me.

The corruption isn’t real, it’s completely unsubstantiated and is merely a concocted invention that avoids Toon fans having to face the actual reality of the takeover itself and then it’s subsequent demise.

Suggesting that the key stakeholders and commercial partners aren’t allowed an opinion and their views had no place being aired was abject nonsense. Particularly in relation to BeIN who are paying the PL clubs £500m for the rights to that region, are the leagues largest overseas partner, and were being openly shafted by SA in terms of both piracy & blocking their access to SA. So their legitimate complaint has merely been spun into ‘corruption’, it’s horse ****.
Actually the test the PL were doing doesn’t include gauging the opinion of other teams, sponsors or commercial partners so you are talking abject nonsense.

Has the PL ever officially commented on a takeover that hasn't gone through before?

thats actually a thought provoking point. But have they ever commented on one which has gone through?

Probably not actually. Presumably it's just left to the old/new owners to announce it when it's gone through.

I remember reading an article before which stated that more people had failed the test than most people realise but the information just wasn't in the public domain.
