Saw an episode of Columbo when I was 6 or 7 when a bloke was pushed off a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean and he was just left there.

Completely put me of the idea and still does...that and the fact that I am so ****ing annoying that those couped up on a ship with me would be queueing up to lob me off.

Saw a programme once where it said there are quite a few (cant remember the number) of unsolved deaths of people going overboard on cruise ships each year, non of the authorities wanted to get involved as it was unclear what the jurisdiction was being mid ocean.

I think it’s more a matter of people throwing themselves overboard out of shear boredom

My understanding of it was that any crimes or suspected crimes on cruise ships fell under the jurisdiction of the nation of the country the ship was registered in, which given the way that works, leaves issues of this nature being treated with a shrug.

That was pretty much the gist of it.

Those who have kids..

How vital is it to get your kids back to school?

Surely this has to be upmost priority?

My lad was already back in school for a while prior to the summer holidays being in year R but yeah definitely needs to be done across the board imo and think it will.
