There could well be a lot of truth in this. Pretty much what Chelsea did with Lampard, only it has worked out for them far better than they dared hope, maybe it will for us........

It’s not the appointment I wanted, but I am more pissed off with the ones in charge. Mark Ashton said we’ve been approached with offers from around the globe. SL saying we need a fresh bit of air and someone to take us to the next stage.
They’ve taken 5 weeks and they come up with Holden who has managed 15 league games.
For my love of City I hope it works, but I just can’t see it.
