I’ve firmly believed in his potential since his debut season. Very much Like what I’ve seen when he has played and has played well in a promoted team so to me that proves he’s got what it takes. Whether he’s a good premier league player will hopefully be seen this year one way or t’other.
I hear what you say, but you could argue that Ron Davies cost us £55,000 in 1966 and kept us in the top flight for 7 seasons, so that was possibly the best value ever. Or what about MLT, who cost us nothing? It’s all relative to the time and situation, and you can’t really compare the value of a player in one era to another in a different time.
He's proved he can play in the Championship. Nothing more, nothing less. I reckon he could do a job for Fulham in the PL. For us? Nah. We need better players than Harrison Reed.
Yes good point and very true saints alive, just shows you don't always have to spend big to find gems or players that give 100% to you club.
Others that we spend 19m on like Carrillo, meh
I guess I was making the point of cost and relative achievement to that one particular era, can't really count Matty as you say he cost nothing and I could've included Lallana, I was including players that we actually paid for.

A point many overlook....the player isn’t just an asset to be sold, he has an input as well.
Saints prefer to confirm deals at the last moment...preferably after the player has played a few games for us
KWP is best mates with Josh Onomah at Fulham and Scott Parker and Matt Wells both worked with him in Spurs' academy.
