At circa £3m a game for the biggest clubs, then that’s a definite yes. I note one of those made ‘redundant’ is their head of recruitment..........
I know It is a really good game though. Considering it's a dead rubber with United 5-0 up from the first leg, both teams attacking at 100mph. Quality in the final third has let it down but otherqise great game. Ok, ok, no one cares
Game you watching Trebs, it’s ****ing ****e don’t think our misfits have strung 3 passes together yet. Dan James looks out of his depth in the game, against a bunch of cleaning ladies from Austria.
James is always out of his depth. Played at a high tempo and end to end. Quality aint there I've said, but still entertaining. I'm enjoying it.
Like watching a bunch of lads on acid boot the ball at each other for 35 mins. It’s quite funny actually given the result is already in the bag.
I reckon they thought Lask would just see out the 90 mins given the score and it would be attack vs defence but Lask have really gone for it. Our boys suddenly realised this aint in the script. I've enjoyed it for that alone
Most clubs will look and see if they get away with it tbh. Football is immoral as ****. The goons are sacking 55 ordinary working people to save money. The most they can earn is £25-30k each. So that would be a maximum saving of £1.7. Even if they paid them £20k EACH (I know...as ****ing if) in redundancy payments that would be a further £1.1m. Maximum saving of £2.8m...cos they need to save money. Yet the club have offered Aubameyang an EXTRA £150,000 PER WEEK ... that's an extra £7.8m a year. Oh...and they assured fans that they still have enough for transfers. They are the first premier league ****s to dip their toe in the water ... hopefully their fans will kick off like us and Liverpool fans did when our clubs acted the ****.
If they offer statutory minimum redundancy payments then there’s a whole new level of ****ishness there, in the context of a top end PL club.
