In the papers of Oz, it mentions that Stuart Broad is one wicket away from his 500th test wicket. Very hard for a quick to last so long and get that many wickets without being force to retire with shin splint and back issues. Well done to him.
What great symmetry....kraig Braithwaite was the 500th test victim of both Jimmy Anderson and Stuart broad.....what a great double act and will be missed when they both eventually retire.... Champagne moment...
I'm old enough to remember what a big deal it was when Fred Trueman got to 300 wickets, so getting to 500 is quite an achievement by Broad. Mind you, he has played twice as many Tests as Trueman did.
