Alexis Sanchez has agreed to rip up his £560,000-a-week Manchester United contract for a pay-off to join Inter Milan.
This guy looks to be on very friendly terms with Pep, which might be a problem if it came to a straight choice between us and them
Mikel Arteta was Pep Guardiola before, they are now opposing manager. It does not matter, it's winner take all.
Jadon Sancho has agreed a five year deal with Man United worth €17.6m a year. It works out to €338,461 a week! (BILD)
Liverpool have now made their move to sign Ismaila Sarr from Watford, according to the Harrow Times. Liverpool have been linked with the Watford attacker following the Hornets’ relegation, and it seems that Jurgen Klopp’s side are now stepping up their chase. Liverpool have not yet made a bid for the £40 million forward (Sky), but they have reportedly made contact with his agents, to let him know of their interest. Liverpool willing to sell Joel Matip to PSG in order to seal Kalidou Koulibaly transfer Liverpool are keen to sign Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly in this summer's transfer window. Liverpool are willing to sell Joel Matip to PSG in order to sign Kalidou Koulibaly, it has been claimed. The Reds are keen to improve their side despite Jurgen Klopp steering them to the Premier League title. And it seems they view Koulibaly as an important signing amid uncertainty over his Napoli future.
If we sold matip and replaced him with koulibaly I'd be more than happy. Not sure how Joe would feel about it though.
I trust FSG and Klopp to make the right decisions. Prior to Covid they were happy to buy Werner so we can see that they know we need more forward power. It will just have to be the right player at the right place as it looks like the desire is there. If the new shirts keep selling out like they are doing, we'll soon have enough money to buy a few players ...... won't we?
I have to agree. I don't like the idea of standing still. Spurs tried something similar (mainly cause their new stadium cost a hell of alot of money) and it really hasn't worked out for them. Not saying we need whole sale changes, but we do need additions. Lets face it Citeh and the Chavs are going to go hell for leather to regain the top spot next season, don't like the idea of them strengthening and us letting them attempt to close the gap without a response.
I think we will make 3/4 sognings in the window. Nobody blockbuster, but quality who can fit and fill a gap in the squad. Looks like we are looking for value, last year of the contract signings.
FSG and Klopp know what they are doing. When they’ve identified a need for quality, they bought real quality. When they thought that they had enough, they trusted who they already had. On both occasions, they nailed it. Whatever they decide this summer, it will be what is required. Almost guaranteed.
Means **** all if they can't agree on a fee. And Dortmund are playing hard-ball atm https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53658335
The fee will be sorted, it's just terms that are being negotiated. Remember when you all thought you were nailed on for Werner, Klopp had spoken to him personally (usual tap up attempt). First thing Werner said when being asked what made him join Chelsea was frank Lampard
Norwich City left-back Jamal Lewis has reportedly flown back to England ahead of possible transfer talks, with Liverpool said to have shown serious interest in the left-back.
I imagine the 200k a week and fact no one else was interested probably played a big part. you reckon he’ll leave Chelsea if lampard gets sacked some point this season if he’s only gone there because of lampard then?
