Who would you bring Santon on for though? Putting him on for one of the back 4 would be silly because none of them deserve to be dropped atm. Apparently can play on the wing, so putting him on for Guti or Obertan in the last 10-25mins would keep us solid defensively as he would be be great at tracking back.
Replace him with Raylor. All he does is supply the odd goal from a set piece so if we are 2-0 up say we no longer need him so no harm in suring things up at LB by replacing a tiring pair of legs with a fresh pair
Or it could put someone totally knew to the prem and hasn't had enough time to work with the defence in a terrible position, such as conceding a goal.
Well how do you propose introducing him to the league? When we are (hypothetically) 2-0 up against Wolves sounds as good a time as ever
I would wait until Pardew can actually work with him on the training field and let Santon know his role in the defensive unit. Our start has allowed us to do that.
