If you take his glasses off and shave his head. Put a white shirt on and a black and white tie. He looks like someone familiar!

On the old email the PL that’s not a bad idea. Here’s my two penneth worth

Comments=I am a Newcastle United fan and season ticket holder. I understand that the proposed buyers of my Club have withdrawn their offer to the current owner to purchase my Club from him.
It is being suggested by them that one of the main reasons for this is the prevarication by the Premier League in carrying out the Owners and Directors test.
I am aware that there is no time limit in conducting this test and am also aware of the difficulties which the Premier League have faced recently as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
I am, however, still somewhat amazed that this test has taken the Premier League so long to conduct without coming to a decision or even, apparently, to be able to indicate when a decision would be made. It is also being suggested that the Premier League were not willing to give the prospective buyers a timescale as to when the enquiries by the Premier League were going to be concluded and a decision given as to whether the test had been passed or not.
You will no doubt be aware that the prospective buyers were intending to not only invest monies into developing the team and also the Club’s infrastructure both of which have been sadly neglected under the current owner but in the city of Newcastle upon Tyne itself.
The withdrawal by the prospective buyers has come as a significant blow to the Newcastle United fans who have been dreaming of the return of the Entertainers Mark II and a chance to compete for trophies as opposed to simply surviving in the Premier League which unfortunately under the Premier League’s auspice has become the norm for most of the teams currently in the Premier League.
The Premier League states on it’s website that it will:
    1. To work proactively and constructively with our Member Clubs and the other football authorities to improve the quality of football,
    2. To conduct all of our business in an honest and ethical manner,
    3. To be reliable, professional, honest and trustworthy both in dealings with each other and third parties.
I would be interested to know, as would a lot of Newcastle United fans, as to whether:
    1. There is any truth in the suggestion that the Premier League did prevaricate in their dealings with the prospective owners of my Club,
    2. Do the Premier League believe that they acted in accordance with their above stated principles.
I would make it clear that at present I have an open mind and have not formed any certain view one way or the other as to the above suggestions and rumours. Your response would assist me in making my mind up.
I do feel that Newcastle United fans are entitled to some form of specific explanation, as opposed to general and generic “Say nothing” explanations, as to:
    1. Why the test has taken so long?
    2. Why no decision has yet been made or made at the time the prospective buyers with drew?
    3. Why the Premier League were still apparently unable to give any timescale even today as to when a decision would be made?
    4. Whether the Premier League were deliberately protracting the process and, if so, why?
    5. Whether the Premier League believes it adhered to it’s stated principles and, in particular, the above mentioned ones.
Given the end of the season and the withdrawal of the bid to purchase my Club I would hope to hear from you sooner rather than later as you clearly now have a lot of unexpected free time on your hands.
    Regards

Not such an issue for me. I have no issue in them writing per se as that should not impact upon the process or the PL. Obviously, it would depend upon what was said but I’m more interested in what the PL did or didn’t do and what the PL did or didn’t say.

Both pieces are probably the best I've read.
It's a horrendous portrayal of the state of the game, but, its spot on.
The sooner they set up their European League and go, the better for me.
Do I want NUFC to be one of those clubs - No.
They're killing the game, and people are so blinkered and blind to it, they don't see it, and will gleefully sell their soul.

    They've pulled out mate

I think we as I said a while back are looking at Mauriss...

The worst part is that the phrase " we don't care who it is Aslong as Ashley is gone" was used in all this..

To be fair, there's something odd about the buyers, and her in particular. I'm no longer convinced she represents a golden ticket.

And to be even more fair, "anyone but Ashley" was always the fans' tagline. The point is anyone but Ashley should be more ambitious, but as was pointed out by much maligned media people, be careful what you wish for - there are worse than him out there. We can't now say "Saudi oil billions or nowt" - that's ridiculous.

I think she's genuine personally... I think there's two things at play...

1.the premier league didn't intend on passing or failing it
2.over time PIF just though **** this just leave it there..other options /clubs would've been looked into prior to the agreements.. I wonder how many other carrots have been dangled in front of PIF over these 4 months and if one became more appealing

It could've been different but for point 1.

    1. The Barclays court case says otherwise.
    2. The PIF/KSA could afford any club in the world. If they were serious, they would get it.

    1. I was talking about her in respect of nufc..

2.they wanted to make money not what was suggested or as you say they pay for man United and I don't think they or anyone thought this would happen.. Certainly no their legal team.

I'm not keen on strange conspiracy theories I think it's straight fwd.. They were keen, the prem didnt want to pass it, so they just lost interest and reports of a second covid wave were also involved.

Covid is a red herring mate. It’s not exclusive to NUFC and they are stinking rich.
