KWP and Cash would be a great double. We'd have gone from a spell of all sorts of problems at RB, to making it possibly our strongest position.

Those two, plus a CB, CM and attacker would be a very good window (incoming-wise). Another CB on top of that would really round things off, but we never get everything we need/want.

Would we really sign two and have Valery?

You’ve lost me?? I was just asking if you think we’d sign Cash and KWP while we have Valery?

I wouldn't expect us to sign both of them in that instance, no.

But I also wouldn't expect us to sign two CBs if we don't offload Vestergaard or Hoedt. And I wouldn't expect us to sign a CM is we retain at least two of Lemina, Reed and PEH. And I wouldn't expect us to sign an attacker, if we retain all of Carillio, Obafemi and Boufal.

Ideally though we will sell or loan out most of these guys during the window, thereby hopefully allowing for those five players to come in. (Particularly in Obafemi's case, I don't want us to sell him. But I do think a season on loan for a decent Championship club could do wonders for him. I don't see him as someone who could fill in out wide for us, and if Che continues next season where he left off, Obafemi's opportunities through the middle could be limited.)

Agree with that.

It’ll be interesting to see how Obefami does from this point onwards, whether on loan or staying here. My gut tells me he won’t progress as a Premier League player, but hopefully I’m wrong.

The footballing mastermind that is Jamie O'Hara on talkSport said of PEH that he has had an excellent season and is one of the EPL best and most consistent midfielders and will change the whole dynamic of Spurs midfield, a short stunned silence from Alex Crook then politely disagreed with him

It is an interesting one with Obafemi. Whilst i think he would benefit hugely from a season in the championship or even league 1 - I think that we will need 4 strikers this season. If, like many teams nowadays, we just played with 1 striker, Id say Ings, Adams & Long would be enough. But as we start with 2, we really need 4 strikers in the squad.

Ex-footballers can be muppets? Yes.

O’Hara can be a muppet? Always.

People see what they want to see

Someone at Spurs obviously sees something in PEH that most of us have missed, but perhaps they're right and he'll be all those things for them that he never quite managed to be for us.
