That statement from Staveley looks to me like the Saudi’s have pulled the deal to break open the NDA and force the PL to be held accountable for the deal not going through. There had to be a breaking point and Mike Ashley’s Lawyers could have a field day with the PL.

I get the feeling this isn’t the end of this one. We must get to 2000 pages.
Ashley has been very quiet and surprised with him, he's well able to mix it.

No corruption here.

You put your corrupt foot in. Corrupt foot out. Do a deal. Become a millionaire and shake your wad about.

You stop the geordies takeover and you turn a blind eye. That’s what they are all about.
And I know it’s nowt to do with our takeover I’m just saying football in general is corrupt as ****.

PIF/PCP felt it would never be ratified by the PL and have pulled the plug as a result. They’re not happy with the Premier League and their dealings from the start

Staveley tells me consortium had answered all Premier League's questions but could still not secure approval. Sources say Liverpool + Spurs among clubs opposing the takeover.

.

Quelle Surprise the rancid bindippers have tried to reject it, furlough their own staff in the year of their Championship when the whole club should be celebrating and after their biggest turnover ever, then backtrack like rats when it was pummelled by the public.

Horrible little club, I feel bad for you guys.

You tell me. There will be a lawyer somewhere that fancies a fee.

FTFY

The Saudis have lobbed it, the PL were still considering it. I don’t see on what possible grounds they could lay a glove on them tbh. Unless I’m missing something here.

Collusion with external stakeholders would be my guess. I doubt it would be hard to prove, BeIn seemed to have an inside track throughout the process.

BeIN are a commercial partner of the PL.Their input would be expected in the context of this saga.

I think it's more likely that Ashley would pursue it. He's lost a potential 283 million.
