From my reading his point is that you can’t have it both ways......either a 15 year old has the capacity to make his/her own decisions or not. You can’t really pick or choose out of the two that one was incapable of making rational decisions because of her age but the other is totally capable of making rational decisions because of her age....
I totally agree...Begum should be brought back here for trial...absolutely. We as a nation should not be washing our hands of the matter and passing the buck.

To be fair it’s probably some right wing **** who hates them both.....but that doesn’t make the point wrong

**** knows how Greta Thunberg has achieved the platform she has but she’s trying to do something positive for the world which sounds commendable enough. Quite why she winds up so many, almost always, middle-aged and old white blokes is a mystery to me.

Thunberg has effectively fronted for her parents, particularly her dad. He realised very quickly - and quite rightly - that she would resonate with younger people in a way that he never could. However, she now has real traction in her own right...albeit a little on hold for now
