    Yeh but their quality was soon realised. I doubt that's going to happen to this ghostbusters film. So in saying it bombed at the cinema in this case means it stayed bombed. It was **** mate, I take it you agree there.

    John Carpenter's another one like Kubrick. Weird fcker made some real ****e.

    The Thing is one of the few films of his worth watching.

    the thing, brilliant.
    highlander, superb, and possibly the best soundtrack ever.
    starship troopers, ****ing nuts....enjoyed it.

    don't know the tarantino one.

    I liked Big Trouble in Little China. Did he make Halloween? Well stand corrected there, but I guess my view is tainted by his later films. They were bloody awful.

    Btw the original Ghostbusters was brilliant for its time as well.

    It was brilliant at the time. Completely new idea, great characters, good plot, funny with it.

    I reckon it probably influenced the likes of Big Trouble in Little China, Goonies, Gremlins etc.
