It just amuses me that those who supported Corbyn - for whom the Russians could do no wrong - now come out and say, why are the Tories protecting us from these terrible Russians?

I'm no apologist for Boris. He can be effective when he pulls his finger out, but too often he's lazy and doesn't master the detail - which is why a sharp lawyer like Kier Starmer will take points off him at PMQT. I'd have no problem if Boris stepped down. Sunak would be my choice for replacement at the moment, but he hasn't been fully tested yet.
Sunak is definitely the darling of the Conservative party at the moment but it will be interesting to see how he copes when the tide turns, as it will, and the Treasury has to start working out how it is going to pay for the bailouts to keep the economy afloat. As you say, not tested yet and I have to say when I saw him a couple of times on QT he didn't come over well. Mind you I've said that about most politicians since the old guard retired.

The professor forgot to note that it was a sample size of 20 based in Toronto......

He didn't include China, Russia or North Korea then?

What a weird survey

So we're best off out of the EU and forming an alliance with Commonwealth countries then??

Just thought it was a funny chart. Who out there sees Canada or Germany as a “threat”?

The 'Woke' accept no debate and are always right. LGBTQ+, XR, BLM and the Student's Union lead the way on prescribing how our lives will be lived from now on, forget democracy in their world...

I doubt any of that varied list of organisations are planning to change the way you live your life in any tangible way.

I think that's probably true

The issue I have is more the way that a lot of "news" is reported. The BBC - publically funded and an organisation that has generally tried to report in an unbiased and factual way - seems to be featuring an increasing number of ludicrously niche stories on the main news website, and seems to obsess over individual subjects, not only with news articles but spin off stories and videos. It also is completely obsessed with the US and Trump

I still generally go to the BBC as I still think it represents the best in factual journalism but do worry that it is gradually caving in to sound bite journalism and a narrowing of subject matter - I want to know what is happening in the world but frankly a news report on a girl in Canada throwing a chair onto a busy road from her apartment just isn't quality journalism

The BBC does a lot right and it should stick to what it has always done best. Leave the opinion journalism to ITV and Piers Morgan, and to the newspapers where most people are aware of the editorial bias or lack of real news as opposed to frivolous celebrity crap

It's already started in London, hundreds of roads have been closed throughout the capital without any consultation. The 'safe streets' initiative was agreed by all London Labour councils and implemented in April, supposedly temporary it is now becoming permanent and bringing London to a standstill. This has really impacted on anyone who needs to drive to earn their living added to that is the increased congestion charge. None of this was in their council election manifesto. There's much worse to come...

Here's an example. The Trans pressure groups want men who self-declare they are women inside, to be able to behave like women including going into womens' and young girls' toilets, changing rooms etc. This, when they still have their male genitals in place. There have been examples where so called trans men (I accept they may not be genuine) use this to enter womens' domain and rape the women.

Feminists say this is unacceptable. Yet, there is a Labour MP this week that has come out to say that the case to support trans people is so basic, that free speech and debate on it should be banned, because it can lead to prejudice against trans people. You couldn't make it up.
