We’re on to the 889th page. If I were at a party and the conversation was running to the equivalent of page 889 in any conversation I would know it was a dire party, in fact a really, really, really dire party.

:emoticon-0110-tongu

You clearly don't know how to enjoy yourself. There is nothing like a 889 day party. I came out weighing about 11 stone having done a **** tonne of gear and had my balls drained by 2 ethiopian prossers.

Personally I just want to see the whole outcome or even process with this alleged bid, if/when it fails.I think it was very important for Newcastle as a City to get investment and should have completely trumped anything to do with Richard Masters PL marketing dept. It seems sickening to me that a bunch of brown-bag ****ers like the PL, the old boys club, can have such a detrimental impact to the whole region.

Of course, it might not be the fault of the PL - it might be AS. It might be PIF. It may even be Ashley.

you won't ever get to see that imo... just business as usual until over time people figure it out and everyone will be left to speculate. I don't foresee any disclosure.

I completely agree - I only meant I'd "like" to know, much like I'd "like" to know wtf is going on now, and I'd "like" to win the pools!

I still think there'll be a takeover eventually, but completely out of left-field. AS may even remain involved, but it could become something involving her and the US, or similar.

it'll be sold one day , but it won't be anything as spectacular as what was denied. tbh I'd still take that provided they had enough clout and ambition to compete for top half and get somewhere capable of maybe an unlikely cup win... it's just slightly disappointing that we suffered a false dawn .... again.

No, we won't become Man City, unfortunately, and haven't the clout to replicate Fenway's success at Liverpool. But if we had a 'clean' regime, who were ambitious enough, communicating with the fans, isn't that better? Give me Wolves or Leicester over Man City any day of the week.

Football is fickle - look at City, started off with roaring crowds and beaming smiles. Fast forward barely 10 years and they can't give away seats for "lesser" CL games. We'd be no different, I'm afraid. We'd still be getting decent crowds, but wouldn't get past 40k if Cluj were in toon!

is there anyone that can provide me with some encouragement to believe that this is happening?

Who dat?

Souness was saying he couldn’t understand how an organisation as influential and massive as PIF wouldn’t have asked for a steer from the PL before getting this far. It’s a fair comment that needs an answer.

if you recall early on I read the guidelines and it stated that before the actual test the potential buyers would have already been given an answer..
