McCann's fairly got stick for never changing his tactical setup of 4-3-3, but worse in my view is sticking with always having a big lump at centre forward. It's never worked all season, Bowen and Grosicki just covered up for it early on. We had to win today, he could have gone for Scott KLP Wilks up front, tried pace and positivity in a game we had to win. That would also have improved our pressing game (Wilks aside). Instead he thought, I know banging my head on that brick wall hasn't worked all season, but I'm sure I saw a bit of brick dust on the floor last week, give it another go. Also, I know it's not going to happen, but if we beat Cardiff that would not only probably keep us up, but also ensure Swansea leapfrog them into the play-offs which would be funnier than anything else in this grim season.
