How do you the define distinction between “genuine” and “plastic?”
IMO if you support a club you’re a supporter - it’s just that some actually see games and others support from the bar or setter - at the end of the day it’s all about degree.
A plastic is not a supporter. Armchair follower with no connection to the club or area where they are from and never attend games.
I ll be out later. Probably see someone in Liverpool top. Plastic fan.
Hilts...I don't agree with you. I see plastics as those that follow the fashion rather than through thick and thin. I'm a City and Liverpool supporter for various reasons...but I haven't seen either play in years due to circumstances. I guess much depends on the newness of the top.....signifying when the individual became a supporter.
