Because you are coming out with pish about Lawell and Rememberance Sunday. You've totally highjacked this to slate Celtic. And your comments about banning are ****ing ironic considering Rangers never banned the thousands of racists and sectarians singing songs week-in, week-out.

Like I've said before it works both ways.

Sometimes it takes a new approach to beat the ****-wits and I personally think that applauding is a fair way to honour the dead whilst at the same time silencing those who refuse to do so. Where is the harm in it? There is no harm, yet because it is Celtic you are pissed off. That makes you a bigot.

these people are fannies (on either side) and have decided what rememberance sunday stands for and wont be disuaded in their opinion. it's meant to highlight the futility of war and to pay respects to all war dead, from all sides. celtic have done their best. it was either last yr or the yr before that they put up rememberance pics of former players who'd been killed in the wars (and as for irish people etc, a great many irishmen died in ww1). i think its come to be associated with the british military because we dont have an armed forces day so it has moved away from what it was supposed to be which was an opportunity for people to mourn and pay their respects

    Now who's talking pish Venom.

Hundreds of fans have been banned through self policing at Ibrox for bigotted and sectarian behaviour, you only have too look back at that clown who was banned for the Famine song, but whatever suits your argument

For the record if it was any other club who felt the need to applaud a minutes silence to remember the fallen i would be equally pissed off

Personally i couldn't give two ****s if you consider me to be a bigot or not

<ok> Spot on LR. It's not about Celtic trying to appease republicans it's about trying to make the majority of fans not be dragged down by the morons and sectarians. Celtic have tried hard to cut out this pish but sometimes it's impossible to do that with old practices. I for one did not applaud during that minute, I personally stayed silent. Rememberance is a very personal thing. Not some mass maudlin ritual where we all have to act the same.

At the end of the day people remember and mourn in different ways and some of the folk only have a problem because Celtic comes into the equation and that is just sad and pathetically tragic.

Tommy some of this stuff isn't banter though. It's people who only have an anti-Celtic agenda rather than wanting to discuss things like a rational adult. Highjacking threads half-way through and picking on the worst possible part of the issue repeatedly to score points.

I've said I personally don't agree with booing but NOLUWDC is specifically trying to say that it's a Celtic only problem when the thread was about the entire issue of booing vs applause. Pretty patethic that when someone has very few reasoned opinions they forcefully stick to only one of the issues.

There have been many instances where fans have booed during a minutes silences. And my point is more about beating the bigots and sectarians than scoring points against Rangers. I doubt some of the others (Celtic and Rangers fans) posting can say the same.
