Haven't had a rod in my hand in 20 years, used to fish with my Da. Trout up the coast and Salmon down in Mayo. I haven't really the patience for it, my old boy stalks rivers like a maniac, he has pulled some cracking salmon out over the years, then when he has them on the bank he stiffs them with his wee bat he calls the priest, last rights and all that :biggrin:

Told the story previously but when cycling along the canal , saw a guy fishing ... with a clothes pole dangling in water and sitting next to a massive bag of cans ...

<laugh> I went a cycle up to balloch the other week and there was boys next to the canal at maryhill swallying at 8:30 in the morning. Taps aff already steamboats
Same here , cycling to balloch Saturday and guy was walking his dog at Clydebank, next to the chip boat , drinking K cider at 930 ... blootered
