I get very frustrated with the whole argument. Larry Elder says that he has never had an answer when asking for a specific example of systemic racism.
I was asked a few years ago to name a black governed country that is rich and successful. I was also asked to name a white governed country that has regular aid sent to it.
Sounds racist? Only if you can't name one. Can you?

It is a very disturbing question to consider. You might say, Africa has problems with the climate
So does India, Norway, Sweden, Mexico, Canada....

Africa has a huge population,

So does India, China, Russia

Africa has no resources.

Nigeria is, I believe, the 4th largest oil producer. The West African coastline is beautiful but it doesn't benefit from tourism as it should. Labour is cheap in Africa so why aren't they competing with China?

In other parts of the world there are civilisations that can only dream of the resources Africa has.

Bristol was built on the slave trade. It was a different time and we all know it was wrong. Britain didn't abolish slavery until 1833, so, at the time, he wasn't doing anything wrong.

I detest what Colston was involved in but we can't change the past.
Anyone who works for, or profits from, working for a tobacco company deserves more abuse than Colston. They have killed and brought misery to billions. Anyone who produces, sells or profits from class A drugs is the scum of the earth, ruining lives of those that take them and those affected by those that do.
The idea that I am responsible for someone's ancestor being sold into slavery is utterly ridiculous. It's like saying that all Germans are responsible for what Hitler did.

As many black commentators have said, they need to move on from slavery.

Agree with most of what you have written but at some point don’t we recognize past wrongs and at least stop glorifying the perpetrators?

Not a matter of blaming someone today for the past.

Are you seriously suggesting that because of failures in African countries that black people are treated worse than whites around the world and it’s justifiable?

Bristol Museums has sought to explain the reason for Colston’s statue remaining in the city and says on its website that “Colston never, as far as we know, traded in enslaved Africans on his own account”.

But it added: “What we do know is that he was an active member of the governing body of the RAC, which traded in enslaved Africans, for 11 years.”

The Black hierarchy who supplied the slaves for the big bad white man are to blame for that, the lower class tribes who they looked down on and sold. Had they had the foresight to use the money made to build Africa into a major force today with cities like Bristol and Liverpool and statues of these great princes that gave their ill gotten gains back to the community. All this **** that their forefathers May had suffered when the reality is they don’t even know who their grandparents are so are looking for revenge on all white people because they are the true racists. All the lefties financing and facilitating them will get a nasty shock if they ever did come to power.

Just because others committed atrocities, it doesn't lessen the sins of those that are being recognized for their part in the history of it.

It is a lunatic fringe that is looking for revenge, just as the lunatic white supremacists are guilty of their evils.
