He’s got a gig down The Gardener’s tonight mate, wall to wall muff.
He’s ‘left’ the band mate.

The band he now reckons was ‘his’ band, despite him never mentioning this supposed fact before.......ever.

He’s probably practising his magic tricks whilst drinking vodka through his eye ball.

he still is in the Other Guys profiles - they obvs don’t know that Les has left.

Exactly mate. Like you say, I know pensions will cost more, but the long term would be of far greater benefit to the younger generation. Once you stick 3 million people in unemployed, it's a downward spiral. I think it's better to pay pension, than state benefits and the poverty trap.
No , no , no for the love of God no .

Already 20% of the UK population are in receipt of RP how are the remainder of folk in work meant to fund that and other social security benefits during a recession .

I just looked to see where @Hoddle is a god is today - As I was thinking what's upset him now, if anything!

Anyway as I had a quick 10 second browse, I'd instantly noticed he had something on his account, called 1,000 warning points, I thought wtf are they?

Surely he's not accruing points for being a bad boy. I looked on other accounts of people and couldn't see them on theirs, but I noted you could click on the points of HiaG, so I did, and found...

Same as they would have to fund 3 Million unemployed and the consequences of that. Even if you just wiped out the pension increase over 65, it would help.

I think that the mechanics financially would be fund 3m unemployed youngsters for a few years till they get a job, versus fund newly retired people till they die which is likely to be longer than 3 years

Which is why I said, if you scraped the one to two/three year pension increase, that would be your three year timeline sorted <ok>

I think stark reality imho is you scrap the pension increase (for men) or you send the unemployed out into the fields, and community work (including delivery driver jobs), whether they like it or not.

Unless someone can magician jobs, maybe in HiaG's band <whistle>

Reading his posts the other night made me think of this <laugh>

disagree as you can use control measures on the unemployed , including reducing the benefit , and that is not going to happen with RP * . The real problem is once retired you are retired but each year large numbers move between employment / unemployment depending on the vagaries of the economy .
I'm not sure what your last sentence refers to .

* to prove my point re not removing benefits , though letting them wither on the vine , from pensioners decades ago they gave 5 shillings extra to the few who made it to 80 . We still add 25 pence to RP on the 80th birthday even now <laugh>
oh and the Christmas bonus was introduced in the 70's and was £10 and still is getting on for 50 years later .

The State pension currently has a deficit of circa £4TR. Just saying.
