I remember logging on to an NHS computer back when I used to work for them. I got a phone call from IT saying that they were adding not606 to their blacklist and I wouldn't be able to access it again. They were very polite about it too, thank ****
I never bother the guy, unless the site goes offline, then I don't have a choice but to hound him. He trusts me with his mobi and email details and he knows I wouldn't call, unless shhites gone down. I keep it purely business as in meaning the site being online. I think he appreciates that. He was actually quite apologetic after I had to chase him last time. I don't mind dealing with most shhite, but once the site goes offline, that's when has has to get his finger out, in my head anyway.
Yeah he's a decent fella. I remember speaking to him a fair bit early on back in 2011 when loads of people migrated here from BBC606. He was keen to link the site to newsnow and drive some advertising revenue from it. I'm not sure how many advertisers would be keen to be associated with this place. That said, when you're logged out there's loads of random ads that pop up.
Yeah he kept the ads just to people that don't sign in. Newsnow used to be a big thing on the old version, hardly hear the name these days. Been a lot of changes since the early days.
I remember browsing GC on a night shift once and coming across some dodgy images so to speak, quickly cleared it and spent a week hoping nobody was checking
Yup. Also I know to be careful with what I do as well, so as not to keel the place over. So I know most do's and dont's. One of the main reasons I will never delete accounts.
Lol same. I was on an NHS computer and giving some of the Jocks some **** about the standard of their football, comparing it to women's football. Somebody posted a pic of a bloke ****ing covered in his own **** in response.
Yeah I think most big companies have a list of blacklisted sites. I had to badger IT in the NHS to whitelist Youtube as we used it as a resource for relaxation techniques, reducing anxiety videos etc.
Trust I work for doesn't allow youtube.com but can get around it by using .co.uk. Also discovered I could access bet365 if I went to the mobile site which a previous boss was actually impressed by No idea if NOT606 is or not as haven't logged in there for a few years now.
