I never thought I'd say this but yes we did miss McKenna. I would play McKenna over Evans every day of the week but McKenna is not my answer or solution to an aggressive player.

NP is trying to instil a passing team; therefore he wont sign the type of player you want (I agree we do look naive and inexperienced at times but that's because we are and it's going to take time to get the winning formula)

In every team, passing team or otherwise, you still need an aggressive type player. There was an interesting debate on another board recently in which it mentioned that teams had most success or promotions with a hrad man in their side, one of the teams mentioned was when Vinnie Jones played for them and I have to agree, looked what we achieved with Ashbee. You can play as much attractive football as you want but you still need an aggressive ball winner, like Viera was for Arsenal, like Kevin Davies is for Bolton, Like Paul Scholes was for Man Utd, etc etc.

Don't think Davies or Scholes are ball winners but yes I agree with you, just don't think NP does!

Of Paul Scholes' challenges there were probably more times he gave away free kicks than won the ball
your missing the point, Scholes is the best of those menrtioned in my example, he is very aggressive in the tackle and just the type of player we need, the law of average dictate that he will commit a foul once in a while with the amount of tackles he made in a game and even if he did give fouls away, this is what we need, somebody to break up, Ashbee did the exact same thing. Still cant believe you said scholes is not a ball winner !!!
