Love Bielsa, but don't agree with the credit he's getting for the subs. Wasn't his idea - it was forced by injury. We all noticed the ice on Bamford's knee, although some seemed to be more focused on his phone (FFS, for him the game was over. Unprofessional my arse), but getting near to half time I pointed out to my lad that Costa was holding his groin & grimacing, & I predicted he wouldn't see the second half. Delighted with the end result, of course!
I may be mistaken, but did Ayling not spend a big chunk of the first half marking Mitrovic? White was never going to win a header against him, after all. It wasn't from the start - nor was it at the end. He seemed to spend 20-25 minutes marking him. Result? Killed off the Mitrovic threat, but invited calamity on the right with Costa being our wing-back. They'd have got a better defensive display from a crowdie!
LUTV was very good today. Highlight was the chilly spell in the studio.

Not sure of the process - does the opposition team have to ask for a review? If so, Bielsa just wouldn't ask. 100% sure of that. If not, who asks for the review?
The positive thing to take home is that no other team has ever managed more possession than us by such a margin since Bielsa arrived. Build on that & things might improve for you.

If the ref doesn't include the incident in his report, i.e he hasn't seen it, then it can be looked at afterwards.

Nobody asks. If the incident is caught on camera and is clear cut then the FA have the right to review it.

* firstly, for acts of violent conduct that occur secondarily to a challenge for the ball;
* secondly, in off-the-ball incidents where one or more match official did see the incident but their view was such that none of them had the opportunity to make a decision on an act of misconduct that took place.
In the first case the match officials may not have seen anything at all so it will not be included in the match report - but an incident may subsequently flagged up by television coverage and the FA can initiate action.
In the second case, the referee or one of the linesman may have got a partial view of something but they were not certain as to exactly what had happened. In those circumstances they may include a reference to an incident in their report and request a review.
FA Director of Governance Darren Bailey explained the changes. “This enables The FA to consider acts of violent conduct, like an elbow or a stamp, which have occurred after a challenge for the ball or coming together of players.
“It is sometimes difficult for officials to see such incidents, as they are often concentrating solely on the challenge for possession of the ball, and we are mindful of this.
