Not everyone goes to a pub to get smashed is my point. I've been to a pub many times without drinking, whether it's for food, a few games of pool or just to catch up with people.

 

Yeah but not when it’s re opened after 3/4 months

Aye, but non drinkers in pubs are a very small minority even under normal circumstances, given the extended ‘drought’ the first weekend after reopening will likely be carnage in certain establishments.

 

Yeah there will be some who will get overexcited undoubtedly. Hopefully plenty of those will realise that they'd rather do it at home for 20-30 quid then spend 80 notes plus. Half the country gonna have drink problems post lockdown lol.

I'm just looking forward to having some food in a pub garden by the river personally.

 

Largely depends on the pubs I suppose. City centre ones will be chaos I expect, especially if the weather is good.

 

If I was at home I’d just settle for three or four draft Guinness’s.

 

I’d wager my village local will be bad enough once the hard core drinkers get their bar perches back. Social distancing will go out of the window after about 3 pints.

 

Is your village local the only one around? There always pretty bad in my experience.

And who mentioned social distancing? I was just responding to Aber's comment that implied that everyone who goes to a pub wants to get tanked up and fight.

Then again, Aber is the dribbling spastic who thinks weed cures cancer so I probably should have ignored him.

Yeah I agree about the social distancing thing and again it will be worse in some places than others. There's certainly pubs that I won't be going anywhere near for a couple of months for multiple reasons.

My initial point was that not everyone who goes to a pub wants to get tanked up and have a fight, that's all. And I stand by it.

Bit silly opening them for the first time on a weekend mind.

Actually I probably won't, first place will be my local, if there is space in the garden. I certainly will not be going on the Saturday they open. I wonder how many boozers will be trying to sell off out of date beer, that's what concerns me!

My (new) local will be one to avoid for a while I reckon. My first visit will be a lunchtime one for some grub, probably the following Sunday. Definitely won't be going in the evening.

 

good point but very few do but im sure you knew that before pulling hairs, most go there for a piss up getting tanked up and many end up causing grief for some ****.
