The **** is their reasoning for it? "Oh well they've had 3 injuries in the last two games, lets hand em a favour eh?" And if VAR saw it, then WTF has VAR not been pulled up on it?!
This is the basic problem with VAR and Refs. They each rely on each other. Here the Ref 'didn't see it -neither did his assistants- despite the fact they were all stood there. VAR looked at it at the time and took no action-but it was after the game. More ridiculous decisions by a corrupt system. #Bring back football lockdown
They hide behind each other lazy decisions...half hearted because they will bail each other out best way to change it is to make a post match interview compulsory for the match officials
How is that even vaguely justifiable, though? A ref might be unsure of what happened, but repeated viewings of that incident don't leave anything to interpretation. He grabbed Maupay by the throat. The still of this clip makes that utterly irrefutable: How can that possibly be anything other than a red card? Who was on VAR? Arsene Wenger?
I've banged this drum for ages now but - mike up the refs so we can hear them discussing these things with the VAR and assistant refs, and explanations of decisions post-match, either written or in interview format, would be welcome too.
What is it with the terms "Los Ladrones do Madrid", "image rights" and "massive unpaid tax bill" that keep bumping into one another?
I’ve been a bit dismissive of Foden before but I’ve got to say, watching him tonight, he looks like he could be some player. Very sharp movement, excellent touch and just produced close control that looked like velcro. With David Silva leaving City in the near future he’ll get the game time as well.
Presumably this means that it is no longer an offence to do that. And anyone that is punished for doing so can simply appeal and use this decision as evidence in their defence. Haven't the authorities simply undermined themselves - again? As for VAR, I thought there was just (just) a small possibility that the system could be used to curb the excesses of the onfield refs and their unfair distributions of decisions in favour of certain teams. Turns out the system has just reinforced this and even made it worse, by sometimes picking up things that the ref missed - providing only certain teams benefit of course. Seriously I've almost had enough of PL football. One day an objective study will work out how much is contributed by the refs and how much by the teams. I think the refs account for far more of a season's points tally then anyone will care to admit.
You know Burnley's fans have ****ed up when this wart on the left bollock of life comes waddling in to defend their dickheaded actions... Make that warts...
They condemn a banner saying "White lives matter"?? The ****!! Why in gods holy **** would you condemn that?! Utter disgrace
Since the Aryan Renaissance Society started bellowing it few years ago, as they realised saying "All Lives matter" puts non-whites on the same level as white people and they really don't like that https://www.splcenter.org/fighting-hate/extremist-files/group/white-lives-matter
