It’s possible to be critical of the police’s flaws and still appreciate they’re a necessity who do a lot of good.

But that’s not what’s happening is it now ?
‘ACAB’
‘**** the Police’ etc etc etc........

Very easy sitting in your cosy front rooms watching real life take place in TV (Not talking about you or anyone else on here btw, Bracknell)

Mate I’m just ****ing emotional my lad and his Mrs ain’t working tonight. Didn’t think it would worry me, stuff like this.....sadly I’ve realised it does. :(

I know Reading very well, having worked there until recently. Have a lot of friends there; good people.

Everything is not how it should be and people are being manipulated.

Cant see it being anything to do with BLM or anything like that....probably just a group mouthing off to the wrong person who carried a blade.....Hope the reports of fatalities are wrong....it’s just such a ****ing waste of life

We had a cop murdered while doing a routine traffic stop on thursday
First police death in eleven years
Shot while doing his job
His partner also shot and a member of the public seriously injured during the getaway
Not sure what time the [HASHTAG]#copslivesmatters[/HASHTAG] marches start

Reading stabbings: Police declare the three killings a terror incident

Police have declared the stabbing attack in Reading in which three people died a "terrorist incident".

A 25-year-old man from Reading was arrested at the scene of the attack at about 19:00 BST on Saturday, which also left three people seriously injured.

Counter-terrorism police are now taking over the investigation, Thames Valley Police said.

Security sources told the BBC the man arrested is thought to be Libyan.

Speaking on the BBC's Andrew Marr Show, Mr Hancock said Home Secretary Priti Patel and Prime Minister Boris Johnson would be in contact with police leading the investigation later on Sunday.

"It's clearly a terrible crime whatever the motivation and we will be making sure the police have all the support they need," he said.

The prime minister met security officials, police and senior ministers at Downing Street on Sunday at 09:00 BST and was updated on the ongoing investigation.

An eyewitness to the attack at Forbury Gardens, a park near the centre of Reading, said he saw a man moving between groups of people in the park, trying to stab them.

The arrested man had previously been in prison in the UK for a relatively minor conviction, not a terrorism offence, sources told the BBC.

I heard three members of the despicably white privileged public threw themselves onto the Libyan asylum seeker's knife, before the cop risked his own life to protect others

Black Lives Matter want to abolish the police

I wonder what the families of the victims, would say about the last two posts? Would either of you say it to their faces?

The police are incredibly brave and the guy who tackled him, should get a medal. He probably saved even more lives.

Please tell me your post was being as sarcastic about the current situation as mine was......if not you TOTALLY missed the point and have obviously not read any of my posts over the last week or so.

Strangely enough, I’ve just been told one of the victims was my nieces A level History teacher....a very nice man so I’m led to believe.

Yeah fair enough, but it's an awful tragedy and perhaps best left at that.
