I didn't know who Matthew Collins was.

I'll read the article, but I don't think our definitions of left and right really apply in the US. Pretty much everyone there is of the right to some extent or other.

 

I assume you looked up Collins and will agree that he moved from far right to far left.

I take your point about the America bit.

I still stand by my original point that it is easy to change from one side to the other and that politics is more a circle that’s a straight line.

I still can't accept that it's easy for someone of the left to switch to the right, though. That would be like Darwin coming out in favour of Creationism.

 

Agreed, it would be a lot more difficult. However I feel that may be somewhat caused by the general ‘left wing’ of the MSM.
Take Bracknells example of Lee Hurst......is it any coincidence someone who was once a staple of the BBC, is suddenly never seen again ?
I think you’d find yourself out of tv work pretty quick and it would be the end of your career.

By the way, totally agree With your comment about people on the ‘far right becoming educated’. I firmly believe that when you are young, you look for someone to believe in and someone to blame for your woes.
That’s what happened with me, and yeah I now realise I was used.....fortunately I did get educated and realised the error of my ways......sadly many don’t.
