In particular, a reply/opinion would be much appreciated from @Shameless , who appears to view himself as the supreme judge on this matter.
Do people believe that racial stereotypes (which I accept are, normally, negative) affect those who don't fit in to them in a positive or negative way?
Put another way, how does 'stepping aside' from the stereotype and just placing themselves on the same level as every other UK person help/hinder their life prospects?
Or should they be allowed to hide behind the stereotype and then use the 'racist' card when it suits them?
