A sublime team performance from all the lads last night with stand out performances last night from the likes of Leon Barnett, Marc Tierney, John Ruddy, Rusty Martin and Kyle Naughton but for me the man of the moment is little Wes.

He's developed into one of the finest midfielders we've ever had at this club he is an absolute joy to watch. He's added to his game and now tackles and harries defences and attackers and is far more effective than a man of his size should be. He didn't stop for a minute last night and it was just a thing of beauty to watch.

Why is he not in the Ireland squad? who the **** knows, their loss our gain.

nanahnanahnanahnahnahnah Wesley Hoolahan! Hoolahan!! Wesley Hoolahan!!

Got to be honest, as highly as I rated him, I had my doubts as to whether Hoolahan would be able to compete in the top flight. Funnily enough, those doubts have vanished! ;)

agree beefy. have to say i didn't think we played that well last night - we played ok but we only did what we had to do to beat a very poor sunderland team. it felt like we never got above 3rd gear all night and still won! thats got to be very encouraging. i think lambert has almost hit on the best team but still not sure about 1 up front. morison gets a bit isolated but i think it'll be the best way forward away from home, hitting teams on the break. i can honestly see us picking up more points on our travels this season than we do at home! when the onus is on us to break teams down i think we'll struggle. for me, as long as fox and hoolahan are in our side we will have a chance

Don t want to get into it but, he expressed his disgust at the level of hatred in Glasgow between the Old firm clubs and Lambo said he would not expose his family to that....... There was an incident where some morons were chanting and taking the piss out of him for having his nose broken in a derby, while out having a meal with his wife and kids...

I had to be content with listening to the match on the radio last night. Just for a change I decided to listen to the commentary on Radio 5 Live. John Motson and Steve Claridge were among the commentators and some of Motson's commentary was dire. He continually referred to our midfield maestro as Hooley-Han. I think it's time he retired and perhaps he could take Mark Lawrenson with him.

Best player in our squad in my opinion him and Fox make us play football.

Superman - Fair point about Morison I know he scored but I'm still not convinced sometimes, I think we need some pace in there. I was gutted when Vaughan went off actually gutted is an under statement.

You could swap the name 'Wes' for 'David Fox' and this post would make just as much sense <ok>
Both were awesome last night, Wes was on fire and didn't stop running all game and Fox was just pure and utter class in a glass from start to finish. Best CM we've had since Chippy in my opinion, absolutely love the bloke <ok>

Apparently, after a career as a top player fell through, he is now running for the top job in FIFA.

Of course we mustn't forget the actual, OFFICIAL Sky Sports Man of the Match following the text vote, that being Mr. Titus Bramble - that was too funny! Brilliant!
