Only one death since 1991 was caused by a policeman. All the others were 'deaths in custody', meaning that while in custody they died of many different causes among which were heart problems, drug induced comas, suicides and a number of other reasons. Don't let facts spoil a good sensationalism.

Sorry Chesh, I'd gone off to enjoy myself. Yes you're right most of the deaths in Australian custody are not due to police brutality. The real question is why are there so many indigenous people in jail?
