I'd say Shacko hoofs it down the middle

I'd say Shacko hoofs it down the middle.
With a slight tendency to favour the right at times.

he’d like to play on the right but it’s a bit crowded there on team not606.

Chesh hugging the touch line with Olof on the overlap. Even our keeper plays out there, using his special Birdseye view.

They get plenty of crosses in but consistently wide of the mark.

more Gary Kelly than lash I’d say.:emoticon-0105-wink:

Most of them wouldn't even have known about these statues without the militants stirring it. Why wait now. People are too easily offended nowadays. These statues were put up for what they had done for the country or towns not for what they'd done in the past. IMO it's part of History and if people want things taken down, well go the democracy route and discuss and vote. <ok>
Democracy is great but sometimes the authorities just have to do the right thing. For example 20-30 years ago a statue of Sir Jimmy Saville OBE etc would have been perfectly acceptable, to most people, now, probably not. It depends what lens you look at history through. The statues being removed now were revered people in their time but not now, times have moved on and these static monuments to a moment in history probably need to change, preserved yes, but updated in a peaceful and rational way.

I actually think what they did to the statue in bristol last year was right. Stick a plaque on it pointing out the **** stuff he’d done next to the good stuff. Educate people... let them make their own minds up. Then it becomes less a glorification of them, and more a balanced perspective.

You can’t judge people from different times by today’s standards but you can provide context.

Cenotaphs never need to change, and never will, Winston Churchill ? Well he should be in black history, because without him, there probably wouldn't be any Blacks.

IT's Fking Sunday!! Bit early for that.
All we fooking need, people from a country much more racist than the UK, with there own blacks land all stolen and now in near concentration camps, with refugees imprisoned on islands, telling us how to run our country <laugh> you couldn't make it up.

Australia is one of the worlds most racist countries, remember being at the airport in Christchurch NZ going to Brisbane, me and the wife forgot to get visas, it's OK said the lady at check in, for 30 dollars we can do it on line, you're lucky you don't come from a black country or you wouldn't be going she said.
This disturbed me and when we got to Brisbane I went to get a car hire, the owner happened to be an Aussie but of Indian decent, I told him, what had happened to us and what was said at the Airport, he told me that despite him being an Aussie his parents couldn't get a holiday visa to visit him from India.

Times have moved on, it's time the 15 million imperialist Aussies were fooked off and the country given back to the 2 million subjugated owners, you and Eric should start packing, you're just reminders of an imperialist past.
My ancestry, like my wife's, is French, but I don't consider myself as such. Most indigenous people in this country are white (look that one up). Most people who call themselves aborigine are only part such. True (full blood) aborigines make up about 1% of the population. Chesh, we can play with figures all day, so let's not go there, eh? Imperialist past? Yep, and future because without the white man there would be no future here.

Don't tell me, tell Eric, the Australia the world knows, is totally built on imperialist values.without it you would be a big lump of sand with a few Abbo's.

That's because so many of them overstay their visas and never go back. It's a back door into the country.
