That's just what I said - far better than nothing and TBH it's difficult to see what else City could do in the circumstances. The point I was making is that soft 80 minute unrefereed friendlies against Swansea and Cheltenham with nothing at stake are hardly a substitute for raw Championship football with everything at stake. Playing two different sides on the same day utilising nearly 30 squad players is not competitive stuff. The levelling of the playing field might be that Leeds have suffered the same restrictions. It'll be about motivation next Sunday and I'd suggest that Leeds will be under far more pressure. Being away, a draw might well suit them and I think they'd settle for that before KO whereas we really need the win. That could make all the difference if Harris gets it right. Just got to go for it - no other option makes sense.
Everyone is in the same boat. Not sure what prep leeds will have done. I feel that fitness, determination and squad depth will outweigh any previous form for the next 9 games.
