Boris Johnson says attacking statues is ‘lying about our history’ and protests have been ‘hijacked by extremists’
I was under the impression that Johnson didnt understand the meaning of the word 'lying'.
Ah gotcha. Those bloody fascists and anti fascists!
I'm intrigued to read that as I lost a good friend in Iraq. Cant seem to find anything anywhere. I smell a BorisIt does look interesting. I couldnt seem to find anything about it..
Anti-fascism is as bad as fascism, in summary.
Fascism (/ˈfæʃɪzəm/) is a form of far-right, authoritarian ultranationalism characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, as well as strong regimentation of society and of the economy which came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe.Fascism in Britain is limited to a few crackpots. It never has caught on. Judging by the hit list for destruction of monuments, Antifa appears to have a whole new Orwellian programme
England's chief nurse was dropped from one of Downing Street's daily coronavirus briefings after refusing to publicly back Dominic Cummings, senior sources have told The Independent.
As Boris Johnson's chief aide was engulfed in scandal over his trips to Durham and Barnard Castle during lockdown, Ruth May had been due to appear alongside health secretary Matt Hancock in the press conference.
But, in practice questions hours before the briefing, she was asked about Mr Cummings and, after failing to give support to the prime minister’s chief adviser, she was immediately dropped from the press conference, according to senior NHS sources.
As I said bob I won't be posting anything on here.Ellers, post a link to the Afghan mission story mate. I'm genuinely interested in it as I lost a friend in Iraq and have friends who served in Afghanistan. Cheers pal![]()
Fair enough Ellers. I appreciate that it must be a private thing and not one that would have been media spread. As I said bob I won't be posting anything on here.
It was in the media. I don't think it is right posting up hero's names on a forum like this, especially when in the past people have used stuff against me in posts. Not happening. If people wish not to believe me, then so be it. I said last year that I always go to the Somme on Remembrance Day and a couple seemed to mock me about it. I went as usual and posted the pictures on here. They don't mock me now. I will go again this year if the French let us in? As I said when any of us meet up for a pre-match beer I am more than happy to talk about it and you can look at what he did.Fair enough Ellers. I come from a slightly different angle mate. A friend of mine was killed in Iraq. A hero to his family, friends and country. His family are proud to say his name, proud to speak it, as he was a hero to them. This was covered in only the local rag, never made the nationals or tv unlike the person your wife knew. The football fans were the catalyst for protecting the statue. Now many army vets and normal peaceful citizens are going. I don't think they can call it right-wing (although I guess some will). The BLM peaceful demo in the park should have gone ahead but sadly these leftie groups have tarnished the debate. As I said the message will get lost.Am I the only one that doesn’t see the link between this and pissed up self-proclaimed football lads standing around statues hurling racist abuse?

He is not even going to London. Apparently he believes that BLM and the protection of statues will be overshadowed by his appearance so he is staying at home. Also (I read on Twitter) that many of the 'Wall' fans are not interested in causing any trouble with the BLM group. They are only after 'Antifa' because they offered them out. It will be the Tarquins and Ruperts V Football thugs. I reckon Staines might be busy Saturday? It’s about as right wing as Tommy Robinson shagging Thatcher’s corpse ffs.
