TBH I really didn't know much about the fella on the statue and it only came to light when the idiots ripped it down. However, they do not have the authority to do that. The opted to be vandals and acted like a mob. Those responsible should be prosecuted, as should the idiots that defaced the monuments in London. I am sure you would agree with that? I'd agree that those breaking the law require action being taken. However I notice you have chosen to totally ignore the bigger point in Bristol of why was this statue still up? Why were all these requests to have this removed ignored, that is in the case of Bristol a much bigger issue but again you seem to have no problem with this
I said previously that the message would get lost with the idiots that cause violence and it has. Please do not try and tell me what I think is right and wrong. Like you, I have an opinion but sadly whenever decent people complain about idiots you will always get the apologists who try to turn the argument away from what is actually about... funny that The issue is lost because people like you are trying to force one part of the situation, in ALL of your comments about this not once has it focused on the peaceful protests at all, not one. That is part of the problem, people protest peacefully and nobody cares, a few cause chaos and it's all over the news... funny that
You say you go to these marches peacefully (and it seems you belong to groups) so why would you need to protect yourself? Just curious?
It Seems a bit strange to carry obviously some sort of protection to a march, doesn't it? I have been to many away games where there has been trouble but normally it's the ones looking for it that find it? I have never taken something for protection. I have been on a huge number of protests all pretty much peaceful, in recent years protests have become targets from elements of society, we do all we can to be vigilant both beforehand and during protests so we can avoid these groups. Other than stopping protesting, which isn't something we should have to do, there is no way to totally avoid these ****s. So if you had a group telling you that they are going to beat you and then rape your mrs, if you had seen the results of other incidents where they had attacked kids, women, victimised groups who had no desire to engage with them you wouldn't want to protect yourself? Really? I'm calling bullshit on that.
As for me, I am Rangers born and bred and I come on here to discuss my club. I don't go on any other forums or talk politics and TBH I hope when the football comes back the mods shut this thread down because we don't need to attract all the political types (not saying you) that come on the boards to talk nothing but politics.
besides talking QPR is far more important than discussing those anarchist tw2ts. I am always interested in reading QPR stuff, people's opinions, finding what is going on with the club, just on certain things I'm more of an observer than someone who needs to comment. This is a politics thread other visitors from other parts of the board who come in don't exactly comment on any QPR stuff, be disrespectful, be on the wind up just comment on the pages that interest them, with the internet forum dying a slow death, and people leaving them over recent years, personally I welcome them in the hope it keeps things going
