Good answer Dave - hope you are well, or as well as be can be expected in the circumstances.
Still too tired to post atm

Boris offering British residency to nearly three million Hong Kong citizens - that will go down well with Brexiteers. Temporay visas to pick fruit maybe...

A sad, but probably expected, development in the Madeleine McCann disappearance - German police treating it now as a murder enquiry, with their suspect already in prison for offences against children.
I really can't imagine what her parents have gone through for the last 13 years - nor how they feel now with this news.
Hopefully those people that pointed the finger at Madeleine's parents will hang their heads in shame.
I don't find the parents free from blame at all.
They left a toddler on her own while they went off gallivanting and boozing!
How is that for grownups to behave?
Some people, including the original Portuguese senior detective, have insinuated the parents killed the child, not acceptable at all.

No, of course it's not, but neither is leaving her unattended for such a length of time![]()
Can't say that I agree with that Dave. They may be guilty of negligence but can't be blamed for murder. From memory, they weren't gallivanting and boozing - they were out having a meal with friends on the final night (I think) of their holiday, and checked the kids in their room during that time. Something that parents the world over were in the habit of doing - most were lucky that nothing like this happened, a few were not. The Lindy Chamberlain case in Alice Springs comes to mind - it took that poor woman 32 years to clear her name after being wrongly found guilty of murder and spending time in prison.I don't find the parents free from blame at all.

You've misread Dave: guilty of negligence was what he was insinuating and I have to agree. The parents have never been afforded much sympathy, nor from myself included, but I can at least hold my head up and say that I've never accused them of murdering their child. Can't say that I agree with that Dave.
