Holyrood was due to be in recess from 27 June to 30 August. Parties have unanimously agreed there will instead be virtual meetings every Thursday, plus two first ministerial statements in the chamber in July, and fuller sittings will resume on 11 August (when schools go back)

She was elected to represent her constituents, wasn’t she? What happens if she chooses to stay at home?

Then they don’t get represented. Loads of MPs are vulnerable in some way and it’s another 600-odd people travelling up and down the country, mixing then travelling back when there’s a perfectly viable alternative all so our fat mop useless **** of a Prime Minister has a few braying hecklers on his side for PMQs.

I'm surprised Rees Mogg destroying parliamentary democracy isn't seeing more vitriol on here. I might be imagining it but our resident right-wingers do go quiet when the government does something utterly despicable and indefensible. Our government is so corrupt.

Hooray Sir ‘Bellend’ has Finally spoken in the Guardian!!!!! Sadly once again he isn’t committing to anything and only states the bloody obvious.
Another opposition leader destained to fail. Bring on the next muppet.

That’s because some are so obsessed with a bloke walking around a castle? Other news is not important. The biggest story should be Hong Kong or the US.
