@Archers Road hates the homeless , he's always complaining about his ones

I hate the fact that Britain has become such a harsh uncaring place, that the streets of our cities are full of desperate people with nowhere to sleep.

It happened under Margaret Thatcher, and it’s happened again under this latest lot of heartless Tory SCUM. It’s what you get when you vote for these hateful ****s.

No one in the UK has to sleep on the streets. There are shelters, b%b's etc available. There tends to be a curfew for shelters/hostels which is quite early so a lot just stay out.

It certainly isn't a case of giving everyone a flat and everything is honky dory. Very far from the truth.

These people have complex problems and there are no simple solutions, that much is true.

But you’re completely wrong when you say no one is forced to sleep on the streets. Utter bollocks, I can assure you. One of my best mates works with homeless people in London, the situation is desperate and this government’s austerity program is the reason for the huge increase.

Have they closed Shelters/Hostels? What I found within the Homeless 'sector' is the amount of wasted money. Trips to the theatre with donated money instead of using it for practical purposes.

There is also a huge problem of bullying within hostels etc so guys would rather stay outside instead of being beaten and robbed.

The night before dole day has always been when most stay on the streets so they don't get marched to the bank machine/Post office to be relieved of their money. Also a high percentage of homeless men are rapists/*****s and your average homeless alkies chase them out.

Spot on, the bullying and violence in those places is mental, so for many, it is safer to sleep on the streets.

There is not enough shelters and hostels ... they have waiting lists !

Homeless charities are fighting a lost cause as they don’t have enough funding to deal with increasing levels of homelessness .
