I will quell the insurrection with troops

.....and attack peaceful protestors so I can get some good pics at the church over the road.

Media keep saying this is the first time the 1807 Insurrection Act has been invoked since 1807 and yet a little research suggests it was used in 1989 (following a hurricane) and 1992 (LA Riots). Still not good but media need to get the sh!t correct before they throw it or they'll be dismissed.

Unbelievable ... what a ****ing **** ... never thought I'd be saying this but I hope the ****ing riots go mental tonight ... he is the most despicable excuse for a human being that I have ever had the misfortune to see ...

There was nothing but peaceful protest going on ... hypocritical vile twat

That sort of **** really isn't helpful.

92 was Rodney King wasn't it?

"I will stand with peaceful protesters"

"Now get out of the way so i can walk past where you were"

Another reason for not becoming a Soldier

fighting against your own at the click of some idiots fingers

There are almost always large numbers of people who will support the state.

Like Saddam Hussein supports are STILL committing terrorist attacks in some parts of Iraq and his right hand man is still in hiding to this very day. It's absolutely incredible the lengths some will go to protect their leader.

Yus. In fairness what the media may mean is that it's the first time it's been used on such a wide scale (in numerous states), but that isn't what they've been saying.

"invoke for the first time in 200 years" word for word what CNN just said.

So

Trump is not allowed to call on Military help unless the state govt asks for it and to the knowledge of the reporters...no State has asked for that..certainly not Minnesota

A ‘made for TV moment’.

Trump ordering peaceful protesters to tear gassed and cleared away so that he can walk to a church for a photo op with a bible.

He’s a vile ****.

They’ve just said it can only be used at the request of the State, he clearly said he was going to act anyway if the states in question didn’t call in the National guard.

you seeing why I think trump is an unhinged lunatic now bro ?

I accept he is unhinged. I also understand the last few nights, has seen a level of looting and violence that is unacceptable, the same as it was wrong to burn that church down, but absolutely, it's also unacceptable to attack peaceful protestors. Basically tonight the military were attacking kids, because with the greatest respect, that's all some of them were young kids. I know if I was the father of one of the peaceful protestors, Trump would have a lot of questions to answer, thankfully we only have to deal with Boris!
