Indeed it does seem they had reduced costs up until Jan on this year, but as we are now in may with covid 19 and having to reduce how much oil is produced due to a glut of oil, Pritty much same costs but a lot less oil produced, I would think it's gone higher again, who knows, can you find the numbers for now ?
The links I gave you will give you the figures. Main reason I know is that I have inside knowledge. My sister lives in Aberdeen. Local papers are full of rigs being stood down to maintenance only status or closed down completely. This has been one of the main reasons for the drop in maintenance costs. My bother-in-law used to be Trump's chauffeur & tells some marvellous stories. His son is also on the rigs, but stood down at this time.

All, info for anyone furloughed - it appears that a company can request that employees take accrued leave while on furlough where they offer to pay you 100% of salary as opposed to 80%. Furlough is not interrupted.

I suspect we can all see the reason why this might be advantageous for them but not for the employee. I shall be declining their request.

Be careful out there. <ok>

Then there are agency workers like me who have no wages since early march. They refused to furlough us as they would have to pay extra in the holiday fund. I have had three days work in all that time.

But he should have been paid more as agency staff when he does have work, so perhaps shouldn't have spent so much on women and holidays?

“he spent all his money on beer, women and holidays - the rest he just frittered away”

I genuinely thought wakey was retired given the amount of time spent holidaying.

no fun having no cash coming in... hope it picks up fella

A wise man once said to me, how can you ease lockdowns when there are still deaths and new cases in your community?

So I wonder how it's possible for the UK?

... because they want us to catch it - herd immunity is still unofficial policy.

as Dominic Cummings said ”Get the economy going, do what’s best for the majority, fck the old and the fat... they’re just a drain on the NHS anyway.”
